The Minnesota Vikings have been the focal point of rumors all offseason, especially regarding the quarterback position.
Last year, the Vikings decided to roll with Sam Darnold as their starting QB after JJ McCarthy — who they drafted in the first round in 2024 — suffered a season-ending injury during training camp
. Darnold played well enough to get the Vikings to the playoffs, but struggled in the biggest moments. Ultimately the Vikings brass decided to let Darnold walk when free agency hit, and the veteran journeyman QB inked a big deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
Once Darnold was out in Minnesota, rumors began to swirl about Aaron Rodgers potentially signing with the Vikings in a short term-move for the next year or two at most. But after weeks of speculation, the Vikings publicly shut down those rumors and named McCarthy as their starting QB for 2025.
Meanwhile in the AFC, the Tennessee Titans are working tirelessly to evaluate quarterback prospects in an attempt to find their franchise signal caller.
The Titans currently own the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft — and while Miami’s Cam Ward is currently viewed as the clear top quarterback of this year’s class —it remains uncertain if that’s the direction the Tennessee brass will go with the first pick.
They could always trade back and select another young QB like Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart, but right now, it certainly looks like Ward will be the pick at No. 1 overall.
Last season, Brian Callahan took over as the Titans head coach and banked on Will Levis as the starting QB for the 2024 campaign. Levis showed flashes at times, but was wildly inconsistent and ultimately only played good enough to give Tennessee three wins.
Callahan and company understand they have to get the quarterback position right for the Titans before they can make strides in any other area.
In a surprise move, Bleacher Report predicts the Titans will trade Levis and a 2025 6th round pick to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2025 5th round pick.
