The Parramatta Junior Rugby League and Panthers Juniors participated in the Battle of the West for the first time since 2017 over the weekend.
The Battle of the West groups the Panthers Juniors Premiership Winners against the Parramatta Junior Rugby League team that progressed the furthest in its Central West or Metro Conference Competition.
Games were played over two days from Under 13s to Under 21s, between both males and females from Division 1 to Division 3 (where applicable).
The Parramatta Junior Rugby League would like to acknowledge the spirit in which the matches were played across the 20 games.
After 15 contested games on Saturday, Panthers Juniors had obtained a 9 to 6 lead, and with 5 games to be played on Sunday, Parramatta would need to win all matches to win or 4 matches to tie.
Leading into the last game of the Battle of the West, Panthers Juniors had a 10-9 lead.
The last match was an Under 21s representative match with players selected from multiple teams within each District.
Parramatta were victorious in the U21s and locked up the tally at 10 wins a piece.
