NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations For Panthers’ Evan Rodrigues

Florida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues is a popular name in the rumor mill this offseason. With the Panthers having salary cap trouble, he has been viewed as a potential cap casualty for the Cats.

If the Panthers do in fact make Rodrigues available, here are three teams who could end up making a push for the veteran forward.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild would be wise to upgrade their top nine before the season is here, and a player like Rodrigues would provide them with just that. He would certainly give them some much-needed production in their middle six if acquired and could be a strong fit as their third-line center. Thus, he would have the potential to be a strong addition to a Wild club looking to take that next step.

Vancouver Canucks

With the Canucks’ forward group needing a boost, they could make a lot of sense for a player like Rodrigues. He would offer them another option down the middle for their middle six. However, due to his versatility, he also could help them on either wing if acquired. With the Canucks needing more offense, bringing in a player like Rodrigues could be excellent for them.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings undoubtedly could use another skilled forward on their roster before the start of the season, so they could be a team to watch when it comes to Rodrigues. If they brought in Rodrigues, he would improve their top nine, which is certainly a need for them right now.
