“My family are a huge credit and have travelled all over the region/county for many, many years cheering me on and taking me to games and training so they are over the moon with the news.
“In addition to this, there are many people to thank, especially within the club, throughout the process of this and to name a few, a huge credit to Alec (Marshall), April (Kitchen) and Johnny (Allflatt).
“I wouldn’t be where I am today without them and their continued support, encouragement and belief in us as players and it is a huge step in the club’s direction.
“I hope this continues to encourage young girls and boys to never give up even when things get tough.”
The former Toftwood United, Dereham Town and Sprowston Girls player progressed into the Norwich City Women’s Pathway for two seasons before signing for the Linnets.
The left-sided midfielder wants to help the ladies’ team bounce back following their relegation last season.
“My hope going forward is to continue to put in 100 per cent for the team and push one another on and off the pitch to be the best versions of ourselves,” she said.
“Football can be tough physically and mentally but taking last season as an example, the fight, determination and togetherness got us through it and I hope we carry those incredible attributes with us in the future.
“As we start to rebuild, I hope that we can really strive and get ourselves back to where we belong and push for promotion.
“As we have said throughout last season, it doesn’t happen overnight so it may take a little time but I have full faith and belief in the players and staff we have.”
Ladies manager April Kitchen said: “I am delighted that I could get this over the line, not only is it most deserving Holly has worked extremely hard over the last season; throughout training, matches and off the field too.
“Her technical ability is very good, as well as her ability to perform well under pressure.
“This is a huge step in the club’s history as this is the first ladies’ professional contract. I hope this shows the direction that both the club and I want to go in.”
