Defender Di’Shon Bernard’s future is still uncertain after Sheffield Wednesday contract talks still unresolved.
Sheffield Wednesday have been incredibly successful prior to the 2024/25 Championship campaign in tying down the futures of key players.
Club captain Barry Bannan was quick to commit his future to Sheffield Wednesday after last season’s successful fate of avoiding relegation back to League One, as was Liam Palmer.
Many players have recognised how much the squad improved when Danny Rohl came into the managerial role at Sheffield Wednesday, with players such as Yan Valery and Max Lowe amongst several other signings arriving at Hillsborough Stadium for the same reason.
Josh Windass was another name to commit his future in S6 following last season, with Rohl once again being the decisive factor behind the attacker choosing another season at Sheffield Wednesday, despite Championship interest.
Key defender Di’Shon Bernard is yet to sign a contract with Sheffield Wednesday, however he has dropped a big hint on social media regarding his future.

How crucial will it be for Danny Rohl to secure Di’Shon Bernard’s future at Sheffield Wednesday
Rohl will be keen to keep hold of the former Chelsea and Manchester United centre-back for the 2024/25 Championship campaign after he played such a pivotal role in securing Sheffield Wednesday’s survival.
Bernard has also previously heaped praise on the German boss, who commented on ‘the belief and confidence’ that Rohl had in him to succeed.
The Jamaican defender, who also contributed two assists this season, improved and solidified Sheffield Wednesday’s defensive shape, where Rohl opted for three or four at the back.
His versatility also can’t be played down, with Bernard having the ability to play as a defensive right-back and defensive midfielder if called upon.
The former Hull City defender clearly thrived under Rohl this season and will no doubt want to reconnect with the German coach. Sheffield Wednesday will need to make sure they prioritise a contract for the Owls man rather than looking at alternate targets, as Bernard is a solid Championship defender that they will struggle to replace.
