Michael Eyssimont of the Boston Bruins is being eyed by the Edmonton Oilers. Before the Oilers’ encounter with the Anaheim Ducks, captain Connor McDavid’s personal news is released as that issue gets handled.
The news was personally disclosed by McDavid on social media.
“Pretty sick,” McDavid says in a video of him opening a peculiar-looking 99 Club Box. He reads what is written on a glass award as he opens the box: “Welcome to the 99 Club. Connor, we are thrilled to have you as the 99 club’s first member, an exclusive level of NHL talent. You are one of a kind, and you set the bar for what is achievable.”
“Wow, that’s really amazing.”
Following that, he reacts to earning the prize.
“I grew up playing this game, like so many kids who play hockey,” McDavid remarks. “You understand how important the game is to us kids and how it shaped us. It’s unique, therefore being a member of this club means a great deal to me.”
“There are a lot of amazing players out there, so I’m eager to find out who will join me next.”
Connor McDavid Gets the First 99 Rating
The ratings for the forthcoming NHL 27 game were revealed by EA Sports in August. The game’s inaugural 99 overall rating was given to McDavid.

Anyone who has played the game will attest to the rarity of these 99 ratings. Considering how overpowering McDavid is on the ice every game, bestowing this distinction upon him is completely understandable.
Time alone will tell if anyone else will ever appear on this list with him.
