The vast influx of players into the Sheffield Wednesday squad this summer means players will leave the club towards the end of the transfer window, manager Danny Röhl has long since reiterated.
And with three weeks to go until the closure of business on August 30, the Owls boss has confirmed approaches with regard to some of their players.
The Star has reported that young striker Bailey Cadamarteri will be allowed to leave on loan along with a handful of the younger players who have spent time training with the seniors this summer. Mallik Wilks is the subject of public interest from near neighbours Rotherham United.
It’s understood that further players are of interest to EFL clubs and that with the bulk of Wednesday’s business done – though more is still expected – some focus will now shift to outgoings. Speaking to The Star ahead of their season opener against Plymouth Argyle on Sunday, Röhl suggested the club had been ‘proactive’ in discussions with prospective takers.
