The Detroit Red Wings released the tragic news that former team masseur Sergei Mnatsakanov has tragically passed away.
Sergei Mnatsakanov was left paralyzed from the waist down and spent several weeks in a coma after the limousine crash, which occurred following a golf outing at The Orchards golf course in Washington Township.
The Detroit Red Wings are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former team masseur Sergei Mnatsakanov. Sergei was a member of the 1997 Stanley Cup Championship team that brought the first Stanley Cup to Hockeytown in 42 years.
