The Parramatta Eels are delighted to announce England international and four-time St Helen’s RLFC Challenge Cup winner, Paige Travis has signed with the Club until 2026.
The dynamic second-rower, who will be the first player from St Helen’s RLFC to play in the NRLW, said she was excited to be heading down under to experience Australia’s national rugby league women’s competition.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Parramatta Eels and to challenge myself in the NRLW,” said Paige Travis.
“I’ve watched a lot of the NRLW games, and the Eels have really impressed me as a team who play with passion and for each other.
“I look forward to meeting the girls and bringing my experience to the squad next year,” she added.
Club officials were thrilled when Paige decided to join the Eels.
“The Parramatta Eels are excited to sign a player of the calibre of Paige Travis,” said Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill.
“Paige brings a wealth of experience at Test, World Cup, and club level, and her exceptional footwork and strength will be a fantastic addition to our squad.
“NRLW fans will be in for a treat when Paige takes to the field in the Blue & Gold and displays some of that Lancashire magic,” he added.
Known for her cheeky wink and dinosaur hair plait, Paige Travis started her career at Littleborough RUFC player before joining St Helen’s RLFC at just 19 years of age.
Her career to date is impressive with 8 caps for England, including the 2021 Rugby World Cup, and 65 games for St Helens RLFC.
Paige Travis played for England against Wales at Headingly earlier this month and will be available for national selection in the historic Ashes series against Australia in Las Vegas, before joining the Parramatta Eels NRLW squad at the club’s new Centre of Excellence in mid-2025.
