The Braves and Angels have been busy trading players all offseason. It’s not their first exchange, either—remember when Atlanta sent Jorge Soler to the Angels for Griffin Canning? That move didn’t work out long-term, as Canning was later non-tendered and is now with the Mets.
Then there’s Travis d’Arnaud, who took his talents to Anaheim on a two-year, $12 million deal after the Braves declined his $8 million option for 2025.
Even the coaching staff isn’t immune to these moves. Sal Fasano, Atlanta’s former catching coach, now serves as the Angels’ assistant pitching coach.
The #Braves today acquired RHP Davis Daniel from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for minor-league LHP Mitch Farris.

It feels like the two teams are creating an odd, cross-league roster mashup, and with the offseason still underway, don’t be surprised if more trades happen. If you’re a fan of either team, it might be wise to keep an eye on your roster for more changes.
