Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider Lieke Nooijen had an unfortunate accident during an indoor strength training session at a training camp with the team in Spain. She sustained a fractured vertebra and had to undergo surgery. Her recovery process will take significant time, impacting her spring racing schedule.
Lieke is fully focused on her recovery: “During a strength training in Spain, I misstepped and landed awkwardly, leading to this injury. Unfortunately, this means I have to set aside my spring goals. My sole focus now is on recovering properly in the upcoming months.”
