Former $13 Million QB Recruit’s Unexpected NCAA Transfer Portal Plans Reveals With over 2,700 FBS players entering their names into the NCAA Transfer Portal, not all of them have found a new home.
One of the more notable players that is still on the market is former four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada. He started his career at Arizona State after a debacle at Florida that saw him sign a contract worth over $13 million but never actually enroll in classes. On top of that, he ended up suing head coach Billy Napier along with two other people after the deal reportedly fell through.
After spending his freshman season in Tempe, he spent this past season with Georgia before entering his name in the portal again. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Rashada was in touch with UCLA and North Carolina but has yet to decide. Nakos revealed this won’t happen until the April 16-25 spring portal window.
“Georgia transfer quarterback Jaden Rashada continues to evaluate his options and prepare for the spring transfer portal, his agent Jackson Zager told On3 on Tuesday afternoon,” wrote Nakos. “Rashada plans to work with a trainer and quarterback coach in the next few months, ramping up to the spring portal.”
