The Alabama Crimson Tide made another deep run in the NCAA Tournament, led by guard Mark Sears, who recently capped off his fifth season in college basketball.
Alabama made its way to the Elite Eight after defeating BYU, Saint Mary’s and Robert Morris. The Tide’s run ended Saturday with an 85-65 loss to the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils.
Following the season, Alabama’s official social media account highlighted a major accomplishment from Sears.
“Wooden Award All-American,” posted Alabama. “Congrats to Mark Sears being named a Top 5 candidate for the Wooden Award.”
