Following his time out on in France with Ligue 2 side Valenciennes, Moore has returned to England to join the rather ambitious League One outfit.
Taylor Moore has joined Bristol Rovers on a deal until 2027 according to the club’s official website.
The Gas have had an excellent window so far and look sure to progress on their 15th place finish last season.
Moore joins the likes of Joel Senior, Isaac Hutchinson, Clinton Mola, Ruel Sotiriou, Bryant Bilongo and Dan Ellison who have all already made the switch to Bristol this summer and there is plenty of excitement around the club currently.
The 27-year-old would make 17 appearances last season in Ligue 2 in what was his second stint in France having originally came through the academy at RC Lens. Moore has however spent the majority of his career playing England and would spend a fair period of time with one of the Gas’ biggest rivals.
That side would be Bristol City, who he’d represent between 2016 and 2023. However, the defender would be limited to just 60 senior appearances across all competitions during his time with the Robins, spending plenty of time out on loan with the likes of Cheltenham Town, Shrewsbury Town and Southend United.
He brings a plethora of experience to the Memorial Stadium and has just under 200 EFL appearances. It is yet another smart pickup for Rovers, who are certainly a side to watch ahead of the forthcoming season.
Speaking to club media upon his arrival, Moore said:
“It feels good to be here. It was a big decision and the biggest emotion I’m feeling right now is pure excitement. I’m really, really happy to be here and continue my journey in football.
”With where the Club is at now and where it’s trying to get to, there is a lot of ambition to push up the table in EFL League One as much as possible and eventually become a Championship team. That ambition is here, it’s been stated by the manager and, as a player, you want to go somewhere with that project and ambition.
“This is a big stage for me personally in my career. I want to be somewhere I feel settled and really part of the project. The ambition is to build and push on at Bristol Rovers and it really does make this move feel like the right fit.”
