Hereford players put through their paces at Halo gym session

HEREFORD players were put through their paces by Halo fitness instructor Charlie Watkins in a gym session at the weekend.

The Bulls players were at Hereford Leisure Pool on Saturday for a one hour gym followed by a pool session.

Paul Caddis said that completed a light training session on Bishop’s Meadow which was open for fans to watch.

“We came back last Tuesday for pre-season so we’ve had Tuesday and Thursday which was really tough on the pitch,” said Hereford boss Paul Caddis to Keith Hall.

“We anticipated the indoor session with the brilliant Charlie at the Halo Leisure Centre, she has put them through a really tough session.

“We had a decent gathering which came to watch the training, I think we’ve got to try and do as much as this as we possibly can.”

Hereford face Westfields at the Herefordshire FA County Ground on Saturday (2pm) before hosting West Bromwich Albion under-21s on July 13.

Caddis said the open training session took place at Bishop’s Meadow as the Edgar Street pitch is not quite ready.

“There’s nothing quite ready yet, the pitch needs a bit of time and I didn’t want to put that on Ben (Bowen, groundsman),” added Caddis.

“So we thought we’d come and mingle with the community. I know there was a lot of comments about injuries, this session where you could get injured, it was nice and easy enough on the pitch.

“Charlie has put them through an unbelievable session in the gym so we’re thankful for that.”
