Ahead of Saturday’s top five clash in Tuscaloosa, both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs are dealing with multiple injuries on offense and defense.
However, with both program’s coming off a bye week, have some of those prior injuries now fully healed to make those players available for Saturday night?
Let’s take a look at answering that question by looking at the SEC’s Availability Report from Wednesday, which is something that is new to the conference this season:
Alabama Crimson Tide Week 5 Availability Report
- Qua Russaw, Linebacker – Probable
- Richard Young, Running Back – Probable
- Jeremiah Alexander, Linebacker – Probable
It appears that Alabama could have all three of these players available this Saturday, which is certainly big news for the Crimson Tide. Both of Russaw and Young suffered injuries during the Wisconsin game, while Alexander has yet to play so far this season.
Malachi Moore, who was also injured during the Wisconsin game, was not listed on the availability report. Wide receiver Cole Adams was also not listed.
Georgia Bulldogs Week 5 Availability Report
- Roderick Robinson II, Running Back – Out
- London Humphreys, Wide Receiver – Out
- Tate Ratledge, Offensive Line – Out
- Mykel Williams, Defensive Line – Questionable
- Sacovie White, Wide Receiver – Questionable
- Jordan Hall, Defensive Line – Questionable
- Warren Brinson, Defensive Line – Probable
Georgia is dealing with far more injuries than Alabama going into Week 5, which includes prominent names such as Ratledge and Humphreys who will be out. It looks like the Bulldogs will get Brinson back however, while star defensive lineman Mykel Williams might be the name to watch for as to if he will play Saturday.
