There’s been some confusion the last few days over whether or not 2025 four-star defensive back Onis Konanbanny will sign this week.
Konanbanny, 6-foot-1/180 lbs from Columbia, SC (originally from France), has been committed to Tennessee since August. He’s rated as the No. 31 cornerback in the nation.
The Florida Gators, however, have emerged in recent days as a legitimate threat to steal Konanbanny from the Vols.
According to The State’s Lou Bezjak, Konanbanny is not expected to sign anywhere during the early signing period. Instead, he’s expected to wait until the traditional signing period in February.
We’ll see how this one plays out over the next couple of months. It looks like Tennessee is still in the mix for the talented defensive back, but there could certainly be some twists and turns ahead in this recruiting battle.
