Former Duke star Jahlil Okafor was the #3 pick of the 2015 NBA Draft and he certainly had his moments, but he hasn’t had a lot of success.
Actually, he’s been out of the league since 2020-21 when he suited up for the Detroit Pistons.
Since then, he’s played in China, Mexico, Spain and Puerto Rico. Now he’s got a chance to get back to the league as he’s signed a training camp deal with the Indiana Pacers.
It’s essentially a make-good deal: if he does well, he can make the roster. And while he’s been out for a while, he’s still 6-11, he still has a 7-5 wingspan and he still has huge hands and superb post moves.
Time is running out, but he’s got a chance to get back. And that’s all anyone can ask.
