Due to transferring to Oklahoma for the 2022 season, Megwa played his freshman year at Washington. He did not see any game action with the Huskies and consequently redshirted. He will have one year of eligibility left.
Emeka Megwa played high school football at Timber Creek High School (TX), where he was recognized as a four-star recruit. He was ranked as the No. 288 overall recruit and the No. 18 running back in the 2021 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which aggregates rankings from the four major recruiting services.
Megwa won’t be the only new addition at UNLV next season. In December, the program announced Dan Mullen as its new head coach. Mullen, who previously served as head coach at Florida from 2018 to 2021, is eager to lead the Rebels into a new chapter after taking a three-year hiatus from coaching.
