The Baltimore Ravens’ 2024 season ended in disappointment with a Divisional Round loss to the Buffalo Bills, despite entering the year with Super Bowl aspirations. It was their fifth playoff defeat in the Lamar Jackson era, and the franchise has yet to return to the Super Bowl since the 2012 season.
Now, with the offseason underway, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has already started making moves ahead of free agency.
On Saturday, the team announced that offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley isn’t going anywhere. The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder was set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 12.
“The Guru is back!!” they wrote on social media. “We have agreed to terms with Ronnie Stanley on a new contract!!!!
Several minutes after the announcement, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported its a three-year, $60 million deal.
This is big news for Jackson, as Stanley has been protecting his blindside since the two-time NFL MVP entered the league.
Stanley has played his entire nine-year NFL career with the Ravens after they drafted him sixth overall in 2016. He’ll now remain in Baltimore until he’s 33 years old.
The former Notre Dame standout was named a first-team All-Pro in 2019 and is a two-time Pro Bowler.
