Former Tennessee Vols running back Cam Seldon has reportedly found a new home just a couple of weeks after entering the NCAA transfer portal.
According to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer, Seldon is transferring to Virginia Tech to play for Brent Pry.
Seldon, 6-foot-2/222 lbs from Browns Store, VA, is a former four-star recruit who signed with Tennessee during the 2023 recruiting cycle. He was rated by 247Sports as the No. 77 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class.
The Virginia native played in all 13 games for the Vols as a true freshman in 2023. Seldon was banged up during the 2024 season and played in just six games as a sophomore as a result.
Seldon finished his Tennessee career with 224 rushing yards and one touchdown.
With Seldon, Khalifa Keith (transferred to Appalachian State), and Dylan Sampson (NFL Draft) moving on, it leaves Peyton Lewis and DeSean Bishop as the Vols’ top returning running backs for the 2025 season.
