Brad Arthur rules out shock Eels reunion
Arthur enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with RCG while both were at the Eels, but the coach has ruled out a reunion with him at Leeds.
Arthur took charge of the Rhinos halfway through the year following Rohan Smith’s exit, after he himself had previously been axed by the Eels.

It was initially presumed Arthur would only be at the Super League outfit for a short-term stay as rumours circulated of his involvement with the Western Australian 18th NRL franchise bid.
But the 50-year-old put these reports to rest after signing an extension at the Rhinos, which will see him remain at the helm through until at least the end of the 2025 campaign.
“I said I would only stay if I felt I could make a difference,” Arthur said after signing his rapid-fire extension.
“It is a big decision to move to the other side of the world, especially for my family.”
The Rhinos have experienced a disappointing season to date as they currently sit in seventh spot in the table.
Recruitment has inevitably been spoken about as Arthur will soon set about rebuilding his roster, however the coach has already ruled out the prospect of luring RCG to the club.
“I think he has got himself sorted to be honest,” Arthur said after a number of clubs were linked to the prop’s signature.
“At some stage, I think he’d like to try his hand in Super League. But he’s still got a bit of NRL left in him yet.”
The former New South Wales and Australia representative bowed out at the Eels as the Ken Thornett Medal winner and has been closely linked to Brisbane and St George Illawarra most recently.
