Initially viewed as a Texas lean, the Horns have already received three predictions in the Crystal Ball for the prospect. The 6’1″, 180-pound player also holds an early offer from Nebraska.
As part of a competitive quarterback lineup at Guyer, Robinson is anticipated to be the starting quarterback, surpassing Prosper transfer David Moore and California transfer Kevin Dillman, the latter of whom may be sidelined due to an Achilles injury that could impact his commitment to Nebraska.
Robinson, who began his high school career as a starter at Saginaw Chisholm, recorded over 1,000 passing yards and 11 touchdowns last season, alongside 624 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
Although the Horns started off slow in the 2025 recruiting class with no early offers, they now have four potential targets for the quarterback position in the 2026 class. However, Jacob Eason, a Washington quarterback who visited in early May, has already committed to Georgia.
Securing any of these four recruits will be challenging, but Watson has established a solid reputation for player development in this position. The Horns won’t be at a disadvantage for entering these recruitments later, though making offers before the summer visit period would have been beneficial.
Nonetheless, it is reasonable to first evaluate prospects in the 2025 class and assess 2026 talent in person before proceeding. Now, the focus should shift to persuading at least one of these quarterbacks that their best potential future lies in Austin.
