The final verbal commitment of the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game is ACC bound.
Bluffton (S.C.) High School star and 6-foot-4 wide receiver Carnell Warren announced his pledge to Brent Pry and the Virginia Tech Hokies during halftime of the nationally-televised game.
The junior, the first prospect on board for the program in 2026, picked VT over fellow ACC programs Georgia Tech, Duke and Wake Forest in the end.
“It’s a really good program,” Warren told Rivals. “I sat down and thought about it over the last couple of months and it’s where I want to go. They got in early, around freshman year spring and offered me sophomore year. They kept it real with me and said I can make an instant impact.
“Virginia Tech, it’s good there. The environment, the atmosphere, it’s everything you ask for.”

The newest Hokie has lofty goals for the class of 2026, but he’ll come in familiar with future teammates from the 2025 cycle and well beyond.
“I know AJ Brand just went up there,” Warren said. “Freshman Micah Matthews, I know him also. There’s more people I know, that I talk to.

“Shawn Quinn is my recruiting coach. He’s let me know what they see in me and they’ve built on that. I’ve got good connections with other coaches there, too.”
The big wideout, who also plays varsity basketball, hauled in 59 passes for 846 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024. The production and All-America status could lead to more exposure and/or scholarship offers — but the junior says he won’t entertain it.
“I’ll cut everybody else off,” Warren said. “I’m loyal, Virginia Tech is where I want to be.
“They’re gonna get a dog for sure. I’m ready to come to Blacksburg to play football. I’m trying to bring in the dogs with me.”
