Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi scored with a wonderful finish in the 56th minute to give his team a 1-0 lead against Sporting Kansas City during the first-leg of their CONCACAF Champions Cup match at the Children’s Mercy Park Stadium on Wednesday (Thursday morning according to IST).
Busquets spotted Messi inside the box and found his captain with an excellent aerial ball. Messi controlled the ball with a pristine first touch and took the ball away from his marker. Then he went for a shot across the face of the goal with his weaker right foot and found the far-corner.
