A renowned doctor delivers his verdict on Connor Bedard’s injury
Connor Bedard left Blackhawks practice on Thursday gripping what seemed to be his left shoulder, and the footage from Chicago is not enjoyable to watch.
According to Ryan McGregor, BHF, the account run by Blackhawks Focus, released the video claiming that the injury was first reported by him.
According to the tweet, Bedard can be heard in agony as he exits the rink, and the team hasn’t provided any information on how bad the injury is.

Chicago will benefit greatly from this. Tied with the team in production, Bedard ended the 69-game season with 30 goals, 45 assists, and 75 points.
He was a minus-18 for the season, and his last ten games painted a more grim picture: zero goals, eight assists, and a minus-14 streak before the campaign concluded.
Overall, the Blackhawks placed 31st in the league with a 29-39-14 record and 72 points, a season that relied heavily on Bedard merely to maintain their competitiveness on some nights.
Can’t see what happened with Bedard really but looks like some sort of left shoulder issue. Pretty sure his December injury was his right shoulder and so it’s not a re-injury

Losing him for an extended period of time is similar to losing your sole starting pitcher in July. You may not feel it today, but eventually you will.
In Chicago, a familiar terrible sensation but a different shoulder
Dr. Harjas Grewal, who reacted to the clip, said he couldn’t tell exactly what had occurred but marked it as a left shoulder problem.
According to Bedard, the injury to Bedard in December was apparently to his right shoulder, indicating that it was not a recurrence of the same joint.
“Hopefully it’s something mild,” Grewal said, expressing a feeling that was echoed by the Chicago fanbase within minutes of the video’s release.

At a cap impact of $950,000, which is a steal for a player who is scoring nearly a point every game, Bedard, 20, is still on his entry-level contract.
GM Kyle Davidson and head coach Jeff Blashill have not made a public statement regarding the injury as of Thursday night.
Chicago’s front office must act quickly. A hazy update on the franchise’s face won’t suffice for very long.
The Blackhawks have not issued an official announcement regarding the length of time their franchise center may be out, nor have they given a diagnosis or timeline. Before it becomes quieter, that quiet will increase in volume.
